I only watch Olbermann on Kruiser Control

Seriously, The Olbermannometer is a hoot.  Outside of that, Keith Olbermann is not a part of life.  I'm happier for it.  But he's been in the news lately for breaking his network's rules and then being suspended for it.  Most employers set rules and most employees follow those rules knowing that breaking them (and getting caught) has consequences.  Not our Keith.  No, the rules don't apply to him so when he got caught he refused to apologize and insisted that his employer, MSNBC, apologize to him.  There's a definition in there somewhere.  Jerk?  Asshole?  Egomaniacal, immature ingrate?  You decide.

Fun and Games at The Daily Caller

Adding to the list of things that Tucker Carlson has (good looks, intelligence, a sense of humor, sanity) that Keith Olbermann has not, The Daily Caller has purchased KeithOlbermann.com:

The Daily Caller, one of the fastest-growing online media properties, announced today its acquisition of KeithOlbermann.com, expanding the company’s global reach into a new segment of the online political market. For more than six months The Daily Caller has been a recognized market leader in commentary about Keith Olbermann. Ruth Graham’s weekly Olbermann wrap-up, “We watch, because we’re paid to,” appears on The Daily Caller’s website each Friday.

“We plan to make The Daily Caller the one-stop online shop for Keith Olbermann commentary,” said Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson. “We will be THE Keith Olbermann superstore.”

“This is part of our long-term growth strategy,” added Publisher and CEO Neil Patel. “Our future acquisition targets include several other annoying cable news commentators.”
Olbermann, acting in his typical slow-witted manner took the bait and reacted in several low rent tweets.  I am told that Olbermann was at one time quite clever.  However, the passage of time combined with Mommy issues has not been kind.  He has been reduced to a mean-spirited, shallow bloviator who confuses bellowing with serious discussion.  Sad really.

The surprise came from SalonThey have purchased TuckerCarlson.net.  Copycatting?  I would not have taken Salon for the "I know you are but what am I" type.  In the end it is Carlson 1, Salon and Olbermann 0.
