In “it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy” news

Yesterday I said that I hope the people of Orlando realize that they are better than Alan Grayson. Well, it seems that they have:

Justice: Webster up 7 over Grayson

Actually, justice would be too strong of a word. Justice, in this case, would be Alan Grayson falling 27 points behind Dan Webster after the smears that the Democrat from Florida has conducted in his desperate bid to cling to power. But take heart; the latest Sunshine State Poll was conducted mainly before the smear in the “Taliban Dan” ad was exposed and widely condemned, which means Grayson may still be hurtling downward:

In one of the most closely watched U.S. House races in the nation, Republican Daniel Webster now holds a 7-point lead over Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson in Central Florida’s 8th Congressional District, according to a new Sunshine State News Poll.

Webster, a former state senator, leads the freshman congressman 43-36 in the survey of 559 likely voters conducted Sept. 25-27. TEA (“Taxed Enough Already”) Party candidate Peg Dunmire drew 6 percent and NPA hopeful George Metcalfe garnered 3 percent, while 9 percent remained undecided (2 percent cited “other” and 1 percent refused to state).

Digging deeper, the numbers look even worse for Grayson as 51 percent of respondents said they had an unfavorable view of the Orlando-area congressman.
Yeah, but how is Grayson doing with women voters? Uh, oh! Turns out that they despise him. I mean they really, really do not like him a LOT. Too bad.

But while we’re on the subject of nice guys, how’s our boy Charlie doing these days? Let’s look:

Florida Dems aim death blow at Charlie Crist
Oh no! How could this happen? Don’t they realize that he is one of them now? Guess not:

The Florida Democratic Party is throwing money behind a crushing new ad that reminds Democrats and independents of Crist’s past as a partisan Republican, cutting together clips of the governor praising George W. Bush and Sarah Palin, talking up offshore drilling and calling himself “a Jeb Bush Republican.”

The clips of Crist come one by devastating one: “I’m about as conservative as you can get,” he says in the opening video. In another: “President Bush – he is a leader of courage and conviction.” In a third: “I was impressed at Gov. Palin being picked. I watched her speech today. I was very impressed.”
It must be tough to be a man without a party. But then again, Charlie does have that highly coveted Teamsters endorsement. Heh.

I've joined the "I'm with them" club

Alan Grayson in all his smug glory
By which I mean that I fully agree with Doug, who like Bob, agrees with Stacy that Alan Grayson is not scum:

Alan Grayson is the disease-causing bacteria which infect the parasitical worms found in putrid diarrhetic feces oozing from the rectums of scavengers that prey upon maggots which grow in the decaying carcasses of poisonous vipers that die after eating insects which consume tainted scum.

(This has been a public service announcement from Floridians Against the Defamation of Scum)
I'm not sure that I would have been quite so kind.

It goes without saying that Grayson has never been a top shelf guy but his latest foray into sleaziness far surpasses all his previous efforts.  Simply put, Grayson will do whatever it takes to keep his fat Marxist ass waddling down the halls of Congress.

I hope the voters in Orlando realize that they are better than this.  When Grayson does this kind of lowlife nonsense he does it as their representative and he tarnishes their reputation as well as his own. This November they have the opportunity to send the message that Grayson's garbage will not stand.

2010 Democratic Campaign Slogans

Via the comments at Don Surber, Drake says:

On the bright side, that provides no shortage of Democrat campaign themes for 2010:

“Stop Acting So Ignorant; We’re Really Getting Fed Up With You.”

“2010: Isn’t It Time To Listen To Your Betters?”

“The Choice is Yours: Either Shut Up Or We’ll Shut You Up.”

“Vote Democrat, You Homophobic Muslim-Hating Racists.”
Hats off to Drake.  I've got some of my own:

The possibilities are endless!

Is Your Congressman a Member of the Democratic Socialists of America?

The Socialist Party of America has released the list of seventy Democratic congressman who are members of the Socialist Party.  Check the list at Gateway Pundit to see if your congressman is a member.  Here in Florida we have three on the list:  Corrine Brown (FL-03), Alan Grayson (FL-08) and Robert Wexler (FL-19).  No big surprise.

Keep this list in mind the next time you hear Obama scoff at the notion that he is pushing a radical socialist agenda.  Also keep in mind that this list wasn't leaked, it was released.  This means that each of the congressmen on the list feel comfortable with their affiliation with the Socialist Party and feel no need to hide that affiliation.

These people are trying to fundamentally change the direction and character of our country.  We need to stand together in November and deliver the message that we are a free country and Socialists have no place in our government.

Quote of the Day

I'd comment on how ludicrous this is, and the degree to which it assumes his donors are rubes, but I should probably check in with Boeing first to see if that's OK.

Anybody Interested in a Game of Dirty Pool?

One concern among Conservatives is that candidates backed by the Tea Party and candidates backed by the Republican party could split the Conservative vote and in doing so hand elections to the Democrats.  Evidence has surfaced that Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Sleaze) is trying to ensure that scenario plays out in his race in Florida's 8th District.

From Human Events:

A blockbuster new video report by Tony Pipitone, a WKMG reporter in Orlando, Fla., on Thursday night exposes financial links between Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) and funding for the Florida Tea Party political party and ads for candidates -- raising more questions about the party's opposition candidate in his own race.

Grayson is widely suspected by Tea Party movement activists of using his personal fortune to back Peg Dunmire -- his Tea Party candidate opponent -- as a means to pull conservative votes away from a Republican opponent in November.

Pipitone’s new video report ties several Tea Party candidates to Grayson, including one candidate, Raul Rodriquez, who listed himself as treasurer of ‘Friends to Re-elect Alan Grayson’ and “Friends of Alan Grayson’ when purchasing Grayson radio ads on WORL radio.

A prior report by Pipitone exposed $27,898 paid by Grayson to political consultant Doug Guetzloe, the man who helped form the Florida Tea Party as a political party.

"A Local 6 investigation has found Grayson’s campaign spent $19,898 with Public Opinion Strategies Inc., a company formed by Victoria Torres, a Florida Tea Party candidate for a state House of Representatives seat in Pinellas County. Torres has said she created the company in December 2008 with the help of the Florida Tea Party’s public relations consultant, Doug Guetzloe.

Guetzloe and his attorney, Frederic B. O’Neal, who created the Florida Tea Party last year, are being sued by Republican tea party movement activists who claim the pair created the Florida Tea Party to “hijack” the tea party movement for their own “gains (and) profits.”

"The owners of Public Opinion Strategies -- the people who stand to benefit financially from the multimillionaire Grayson’s campaign money -- are not revealed in public records.

"The only corporate director listed in state records is the Florida Tea Party candidate Victoria Torres, who swore in court papers in April that she has no cash, no income, no potential income, no stock and no possible asset from any corporation.

"In a financial disclosure statement filed last week with her candidacy papers, Torres revealed she earned $10,000 last year from Public Opinion Strategies, but claims no financial interest in the company. Grayson paid the company $16,898 last year and $3,000 in February 2010, according to filings with the Federal Elections Commission."
Grayson denies any connection to Guetzloe.
Grayson can deny til the cows come home, the video, and the facts say otherwise.  If Grayson thought that he had the election in the bag he wouldn't feel the need to play dirty pool.

How Does Alan Grayson Propose to "Get Rid of all Republicans"?

Posted by Donald Douglas at American Power:

Yesterday on MSNBC, Representative Alan Grayson alleged that all Republicans have left is "fear and hatred." He then goes on to call for the total elimination the GOP, and not just in November: "We have to put end to the style of politics, and that means getting rid of Republicans entirely."

All of us?  Every last one?  Is he calling for us all to be sent to re-education camps or something else?

I'm glad this guy isn't a "hater".  But somehow, he reminds me of someone-I just can't put my finger on it.

I remember now...

Here's the video:

Alan Grayson Volunteers to Write the Forward to Dick Cheney's Book

The Hill:

The Prince of Darkness himself might be best-suited to write the foreword to former Vice President Dick Cheney's forthcoming book, Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) suggested Monday.
Given the size of his ego it doesn't surprise me that Grayson thinks that he is best suited to write the forward to Cheney's book and he may soon find himself with extra time on his hands.

Florida State Legislator Aims to Knock Off Alan Grayson

For a while, potty-mouthed Congressman Alan Grayson of Florida has seemed like one of this cycle's most vulnerable. He represents a district that is usually pretty Republican (Obama carried the district by 5 percentage points) and that Republican Bill McCollum represented for a lot of years. Grayson's style in office has been the opposite of a centrist, carving out his niche as the sneering and obnoxious id of House Democrats. Yet the GOP had trouble finding a top-tier challenger, someone who has run a race or two before and who has a good reputation in that section of Florida.

Now they've found one: Florida state representative Kurt Kelly, who's making it official today.
Prediction: Grayson's sorry ass is going down.

The Jerk

What would any sane thinking person do when someone is saying “mean” things about them? Probably just ignore it, but hypocritical blowhard Rep. Alan Grayson (D) Jerk nixed the sane response in favor of writing a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder demanding that his critic be thrown in jail for five years.

Grayson is frothing over the website ”mycongressmanisnuts.com” which highlights Grayson’s penchant for irrational bluster. For those of you who can’t tell the nutty Democratic players without a scorecard, Grayson is the wacko known for calling an aid to Fed Chairman Bernanke a “K Street whore” and opining that Republicans “want you to die quickly.”

One would think that as an attorney Grayson would be aware that this country has something called the First Amendment which guarantees citizens the right to free speech. But lately it seems that Democrats care little for our Constitution or Bill of Rights.
