2010 Democratic Campaign Slogans

Via the comments at Don Surber, Drake says:

On the bright side, that provides no shortage of Democrat campaign themes for 2010:

“Stop Acting So Ignorant; We’re Really Getting Fed Up With You.”

“2010: Isn’t It Time To Listen To Your Betters?”

“The Choice is Yours: Either Shut Up Or We’ll Shut You Up.”

“Vote Democrat, You Homophobic Muslim-Hating Racists.”
Hats off to Drake.  I've got some of my own:

The possibilities are endless!

When Democrats say what they really think

From the New York Times:

Reid Apologizes for Remarks on Obama’s Color and ‘Dialect’

Senator Harry Reid, the Democratic majority leader, apologized on Saturday for once predicting that Barack Obama could become the country’s first black president because he was “light-skinned” and had “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”
When Trent Lott made racist remarks he was forced to step down, as well he should have.  But when Harry Reid states that Obama is acceptable because he's light-skinned and only speaks with a Negro dialect when he wants to, eh, no biggie.

How long will blacks (and women and Hispanics, etc.) be willing to be used by a political party that hasn't done one thing in return for their loyalty?  Blacks are pawns of the Democratic party and nothing more.

Reid's words were racist and insulting and should be labeled as such.  Outrage shouldn't be based on the political party of the speaker but on the words themselves.  Blacks (and women and Hispanics, etc.) will never achieve equality so long as they fail to demand respect from all people.

Let the Merriment Begin!

From Don Surber:

Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid said the public would cheer Democrats when they got home, so beloved is Obamacare. When Democrats go home, Reid said, “Yes, we’ll hear an earful, but it will be an earful of wonderment and happiness.”

Democratic Senator Christopher Dodd arrived in Connecticut, and got this “earful of wonderment and happiness”:

A man cried out, “You’re not gonna get re-elected.”

Is it just me, or does “an earful of wonderment and happiness” sound like part of a saying of Chairman Mao?

Now, in the spirit of the Season, I'm not wishing bad on the people who've served up that crap sandwich known as ObamaCare, but I think I should be forgiven if I pop some popcorn and kick back to enjoy the show. What do you want to bet that our Congressmen go to avoid their constituents during their break?

Reid Confuses "Compromise" and "Corruption"

From Politico:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) offered a vigorous defense Monday of the deals in the Senate reform bill that benefit individual states, saying “it doesn’t speak well” of senators who didn’t secure such deals.

..."That’s what legislations all about,” Reid said of the compromises. “It’s the art of compromise. In this great country of ours, Nevada has many different problems than does New Hampshire. Michigan has many different problems than does Georgia.”
Now, Sen. Nelson held out on the pretext that he was pro-life. Had that been the case, and had Reid added true pro-life language to the bill and because of that language Reid secured Nelson's vote, that would have been a compromise. But that isn't what happened. Nelson sold his vote, Reid bought it. That is corruption.

I understand why a smarmy son of a bitch like Reid would be confused. Knowing the difference between compromise and corruption requires knowing the difference between right and wrong. He's not alone in his deficiency. For too long our Capitol has been manned by amoral corruptocrats who've used the power that we gave them to entrench and expand that power while lining their pockets with taxpayer money. The best, and worst, that can be said of Reid is that he is typical.
