When little piggies fly, Bucko

Talk about chutzpah!  We take the House and some ass wipe from Pennsylvania thinks the way for Republicans to show their "bi-partisanship" is by disavowing the Clinton impeachment:

(The Hill)- On the day after Republicans reclaimed control of Congress, a Democratic lawmaker said he will introduce a measure that would “disavow” the impeachment of former President Clinton.

Rep. Chaka Fattah (Pa.) said that the resolution is necessary so that Democrats and Republicans can work together in a bipartisan fashion.

“As we enter a period in which bipartisanship will be a major priority for the Congress, it is vital that we disavow the most highly partisan example of the politics of personal destruction in the recent history of this House,” Fattah said in a statement.

The last time they were in power, House Republicans impeached Clinton for allegedly perjuring himself over his supposed affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Clinton, only the second president in history to be impeached, was eventually acquitted at trial in the Senate.
First of all, strike the words "allegedly" and "supposed" from the paragraph above.  William Jefferson Clinton did indeed commit perjury by lying in a deposition in the Paula Jones case and he did, after some prodding, admit that he did indeed have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky.  Facts is facts and history is history.  Neither can be changed by some ridiculous House resolution.  But the bigger question is why is Fattah looking back to 1998 instead of working towards solving the problems of 2010?

If Fattah thinks that bi-partisanship consists of House members giving each other back rubs and big wet kisses he is in for one, big bumpy road.  Newsflash for Fattah:  we won.  Bi-partisanship is you working with us.  Get used to it.

Well it's not as if Clinton has ever exhibited principle or anything

So, Bill Clinton tried to get Kendrick to drop out of the Senate race here and endorse Charlie Crist.  I can understand why Clinton would prefer Crist-snakes in the grass slither together, but but it was a smarmy move even by Clinton's incredibly low standards.  The obligatory crappy quote:

“Not being seen as a quitter was more important than stopping someone who was so opposed to what you and your party had stood for,” said one Democrat who had been hoping to close the deal.
An alternate explanation is that Meek wasn't worried about being seen as a "quitter", he simply couldn't stomach the thought of endorsing Charlie Crist.  After all, he may not like Rubio's stand on the issues but Meek is smart enough to know that Crist's "stands" belong to the highest bidder.

Meek is displaying principal.  For Mr. Clinton's benefit:

Principle prin·ci·ple [prínssəp'l]

ethical standard: a standard of moral or ethical decision-making

Mr. Pot, Meet Mr. Kettle

Oh, Willy.

Our former Skirt Chaser and Serial Sexual Harasser in Chief sent out  fundraising letter that in part said:

"DSCC funds go towards efforts to unseat far-right Republican senators like admitted sinner David Vitter..." the flyer says, referring to the Louisiana senator who admitted patronizing a prostitution service when he was in the House.
Well I guess if you need an expert on the subject of sinning, Willy is your go to guy.

Quote of the Day: Adrienne's Corner

Upon seeing that our esteemed (cough) former president, Bill Clinton, drew comparisons between the Tea Party and Timothy McVeigh, my gag reflex immediately kicked in.  Every time I think of the Bill Clinton years I think "cigar".  Oh, and "stained blue dress".  I just can't take the man seriously.  Unfortunately, every time I tried to write about Clinton's remarks on the Tea Party, the images of Clinton that inevitably appear in my head prevented anything printable in a somewhat family friendly blog  from emerging.  Adrienne's Corner to the resue:

Meantime, Clinton, who "did not have sex with that woman", is warning us that "the words we use really do matter" , and is worried the tea partiers may start blowing up buildings. And Barry Soetoro finds us "amusing."
Exactly.

Why Is Hillary So Testy?

Via Memeorandum:

Has Bill been misbehaving again because Hil seems to be more than a bit touchy.

Surely, Sec. Clinton knows that she will always on some level be Mrs. Clinton. She is the wife of a former president and from time to time she will get questions that refer back to him. Rather than acting as though she’s been insulted, a little bit of humor and grace will take her a long way. Or at least further than she got by acting like a total shrew just because someone asked a question about her husband.
