They are a cranky bunch over there on the left. I like it!

Geez, they call us Tea Partiers racist. Have you ever paid attention to how Progressives talk about Obama when he ticks them off? The following is a comment that appeared on the Firedoglake post AFL-CIO Legislative Meeting Explodes Over Obama’s NAFTA-Style Korea Free Trade Deal:

Leo Gerard is probably in a state of shock

A lot of decent, kind loving, warm hearted, people can’t deal with the devil at first.

It is hard to attack someone that says they love you, while stabbing you in the chest at the same time. It takes a special person or persons to deal with this type of Devil.

Know Thy Enemy!

Think about it like this, OBAMA destroys the middle class of the USA, with no remorse, yes he is killing your kids, my kids, future, and laughing about it! people

Obama is not some wuzzy, weak minded, fool, he is a cold blooded tool the elites developed to destroy democrats, and their followers.

Leo Gerard is probably like most people, just trying to live a simple life. Now his simple life has change for ever, he has seen the DEVIL, and knows what the Devil is capable of doing.

Obama is no JOKE!!! Here you have a Man, who lets nothing get in his way, he sticks to his mission, which is DESTROY THE USA MIDDLE CLASS. (Obama passed the bob dole health care bill, and he has not skip one beat, 80% of the nation hated the bill, Obama said SO WHAT!)

So progressives have better develop the same will and drive Obama has to fight Obama.

Obama has no intentions of winning in 2012. Obama knows black candidates win state wide re- elections only 10% of the time. Remember Obama was the only Black Senator in the Senate in 2006.

One has to admire Obama cold blooded attitude about killing the MIDDLE CLASS, it takes a very bad man, to support a NAFTA trade deal in the middle of a depression.
I wonder what Eugene Robinson would think of that comment? Would he cut the commenter some slack or would he, as he does with members of the Tea Party, attribute the negative comment to something a bit more sinister than a mere policy disagreement:

First, I'll state the obvious: It's not racist to criticize President Obama, it's not racist to have conservative views, and it's not racist to join the Tea Party. But there's something about the nature and tone of the most vitriolic attacks on the president that I believe is distinctive - and difficult to explain without asking whether race is playing a role.

That was a total aside-I couldn’t care less what Robinson thinks. But if you read the FDL post linked above and the comments or just about any far Left site these days it becomes obvious that they have lost that loving feeling. It’s kind of like lighting a cigarette and then finding out that you are surrounded by former smokers-things turn nasty quick. It seems that the more enamored the person was with O in the beginning the nastier they are now.

I love it. My only regret is that I don’t own stock in Orville Redenbacher.

So Rachel Maddow is a LGF Fan-UPDATED

Go figure.

Pat, at And so it goes in Shreveport:

Rachel Maddow on Meet the Press this morning, called Robert Stacy McCain a white supremacist. I'm thinking she's been listening to Charles Johnson a little too much.

The panel was discussing the Sarah Palin book, Going
Rogue
, when Maddow offers her criticism of Lynn Vincent, Palin's
ghostwriter. Maddow explains that Lynn Vincent "co-authored a book with a guy
who is widely believed to be , and I believe him to be, a white supremacist. So
she's [Palin] chosen Lynn Vincent who has written a book with a white
supremacist to write her book." Robert Stacy McCain and Lynn Vincent co-authored Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime, and Corruption in the Democratic Party in 2006.

So, is Maddow implying that Sarah Palin is guilty by association by associating with someone who associated with someone who is guilty by association? Maddow is free to "believe" whatever she likes but you would think that prior to smearing someone on national television she would make sure that she is standing on firm ground.

Cheap shots are easy. As Maddow has shown, anyone with only half a brain cell can throw an "I believe..." out there. I believe that Maddow is a small minded, whiny hack. I could be wrong, but prove it.

Pat has the video.

Remember what Stacy says, "Being Notorious Is Not the Same as Being Famous, But It's Better Than Being Anonymous."

Update:

American Power:

I've already testified with all my strength to Robert Stacy McCain's
goodness, fairness, and racial evenhandedness. I know this is not a racist man.
But for whatever statements he's made, or that have falsely been attributed to
him, the radical left is using Robert Stacy McCain to score libelously cheap
political points.

I've noted as well that Charles Johnson's turned his entire blogging
platform into destroying the reputations of others. You can check his page right
now on a cached Google copy. I don't see the Maddow video up yet, but
he's got running headlines including fabulist tales such as "Sarah Palin's Book
Ghostwritten by Associate of White Supremacist McCain."

If Johnson has any friends left one of them should take him aside and explain that he's making himself look very small right now. On the other hand, Maddow, as a journalist of sorts, really should consider her sources.

Update II:

Stacy:

How many times have I said that it's a long story, and that I'm not going
to tell the whole thing until somebody pays me for the story? There are very
good reasons I've kept calm, and resisted the temptation to confirm or deny
this, that or the other specific point in their "Ransom Note Method" indictment. In such a situation, it's important to keep in mind your rights under Miranda
v. Arizona
. I don't have to explain myself or prove a negative.

That deserves an Amen. It takes a lot of self confidence to hold one's tongue when being wrongly attacked. It also takes a lot of class. Stacy is showing that he has both qualities. Neither will be found in people who take part in drive-bys.

Is The Left Trying To Incite Voilence?

I had hit enter on my previous post in which I wrote, "They are nuts and maybe, if we ignore them they will just go away.", and went back to tripping around the Net when I came across WHY JANEANE GAROFALO’S COMMENTS ARE DANGEROUS. at Instapundit. Reading JammieWearingFool's post, I've rethought my "ignore them" position:

Garofalo may be trying to shut up the people opposed to the massive
government takeover that is being attempted in this country by shaming the
people speaking out, but playing the race card has all but lost any sort of
power it may have had from being overused. Instead, her comments will be used by
those on the other side to justify any actions they take against the racists
they see in their midst, and then will Garofalo step up and accept
responsibility for stoking the flames? The left is very quick to blame every
unsolved homicide in this country on right wing radio or Fox News, but what will
happen if the actions start happening to the very people she is working so hard
to demonize? She is after all giving them an excuse to attack citizens who
attend a tea party,
but I am not so sure the Garofalo defense will go too
far in a court of law.

The emphasis in the above paragraph is mine and I couldn't agree with the post more. By labeling people who disagree with the President's agenda as "racists" Garofalo and others are saying that they are legitimate targets. Essentially, Garofolo is saying, look these are the people who have kept you down and now that you have a chance, they are still trying to keep you down. What are you going to do about it?

Is she stoking hate on purpose or is she just another thoughtless celebrity who is in love with the sound of her own voice? Does it matter? The danger doesn't lie in her intent but in the result of her words. Garofalo, and those like her, are too dangerous to ignore.

For the Left it is 'story first, facts later'

Via Memeorandum:

Seen over at The Other McCain:

My brief report for The American Spectator:

"Yes, we are concerned about what people are saying on the blogs," a
Kentucky law enforcement official said Saturday night, speaking on condition of
anonymity. The murder of Bill Sparkman in Clay County, Ky., has caused bloggers to engage in widespread speculation about the motive for the killing. Sparkman was employed part-time conducting a Census Bureau survey. . . .The Kentucky State Police are coordinating the investigation of Sparkman's death. Trooper First Class Don Trosfer, based in the agency's London, Ky., Post 11 is the official spokesman for the investigation, but was unavailable for comment late Saturday.Another law-enforcement source, not authorized to speak about the case, said state and local officials are working closely with the FBI on the investigation. Internet gossip is a source of concern, he said."You'd be surprised what some of these morons write on the Internet . . . that they wouldn't say to somebody's face," the official said in a brief telephone interview. . . .

So, Stacy is off to my old stomping ground, I was raised in Pulaski County Kentucky, to check the story out for himself. Good for him. Too many have jumped to there own conclusions with no real knowledge of the facts based on their own flimsy ideology. Left wing bloggers are gleefully crying "gotcha", is new low. They couldn't care less about Bill Sparkman. They simply hope with all their tiny blackened souls that some crazy right winger killed him.

Do they know anything about the people in Clay County Kentucky or, cue up the dueling banjos, do they just assume that Sparkman was targeted by some backwood, inbred, government hating knuckle dragger? It has been two and a half decades since I've been home but I remember an incredibly kind and generous people who would no more target someone because he works for the government than they would target their own family.

So far we know that Bill Sparkman was murdered. We do not know anything else. Is it too much to ask the Left to withhold judgement until the local police have done their job and the facts are known?

Conservatives' Dissent Will Not Be Stifled

Via Memeorandum:

Writing in Real Clear Politics, Michael Barrone writes in Strangers to Dissent, Liberals Try to Stifle It:

It is an interesting phenomenon that the response of the left half of our
political spectrum to criticism and argument is often to try to shut it down.
Thus President Obama in his Sept. 9 speech to a joint session of Congress told
us to stop "bickering," as if principled objections to major changes in public
policy were just childish obstinacy, and chastised his critics for telling
"lies," employing "scare tactics" and playing "games." Unlike his predecessor,
he sought to use the prestige of his office to shut criticism down.

Well, yes there’s been a lot of stifling going on. Wasn’t that the goal of Media Matter’s Eric Boehlert’s re-write of the Kennedy assassination or Nancy Crocodile Tears Pelosi’s sniff, sniff, references to violence in San Francisco? Every time Jimmie Carter, et al, throw out “racist” or some insufferable twink like Janeane Garofalo says “tea bagger”, the intent is to stifle debate.

For too long Conservatives have sat largely on the sidelines as Liberals pushed their agenda unchallenged. Finally, Conservatives have woke to the idea that while the meek may inherit the Earth that won’t do them a bit of good as their country descends in to Hell.

Conservatives will not “tone down” so it is left to the Liberals as to whether they want to engage in honest discourse or not. Currently, it appears not.

Bloviateing, Media Matters Style-UPDATED

Via Memeorandum:

Media Matters, showing a total lack of perspective, has done Nancy "Crocodile Tears" Pelosi a one up on the "crazy right wingers as assassins" meme. I believe it is called "bloviating."

Kashner's fascinating cover story actually chronicles the professional struggles of writer William Manchester who was tapped by the Kennedy family, after the president's assassination, to write the definitive book about the shooting. The Vanity Fair articles details the power struggles, and epic lawsuits, that ensued prior to
Manchester's publication.

But this unnerving passage from VF caught my eye. In it, Kashner
retraces Manchester's step as he researched his book. It's unsettling because if
you insert "Obama" for every "Kennedy" reference, it reads like 2009...
Yes, well. When it comes to ratcheting up the rhetoric Media Matters is doing one hell of a good job. My memory isn't as short as Media Matters; from ZombieTimes:

And who can forget that little film "Death of a President":

Spare us your mock hand wringing and outrage. It wasn't called dangerous rhetoric back then, it was called "dissent" and it was patriotic. Nothing has changed except on the right our rhetoric pales compared to yours.

UPDATED:

Ed Driscoll has written an an excellent piece "Media Matters Metaphor Meltdown"

Are there nuts on the right? Of course; there are nuts in any group that contains millions of people. But despite a boomer history that begins right around the time Donald Draper moved into the corner office at Sterling-Cooper, just as not all wars are Vietnam part II, not all scandals are Watergate Part II, and not all protests are the South of the early 1960s.

James Piereson noted in his book that immediately upon being told that Lee Harvey Oswald had been arrested for assassinating her husband, Jackie Kennedy replied, “He didn’t even have the satisfaction of being killed for civil rights. It had to be some silly little Communist. It even robs his death of any meaning.”

Also from Allahpundit at Hot Air "Media Matters: This right-wing frenzy is reminiscent of Dallas 1963":

Follow the link to Media Matters and you’ll search in vain for any mention of the name of the man who pulled the trigger on November 22, which leads me to believe either (a) Eric Boehlert is a Kennedy assassination conspiracy theorist or (b) Eric Boehlert is in the habit of hiding inconvenient facts from his audience, which, if true, makes him a perfectly mainstream Media Matters employee. For the record, I think Kaus is totally right that Glenn Beck should tone down the apocalyptic/coup rhetoric, but that doesn’t give me the right to paint revisionist portraits of the political sympathies of presidential assassins. Evidently the rules are different for the Brock bunch. Um, why?

Van Jones: "Lies and Smears"

We knew that it was coming and here it is in part:

I am resigning my post at the Council on Environmental Quality, effective today.

On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide...

I didn't expect a sudden change of heart on Jone's part. I didn't think he would resign because he realized that his past statements and actions were hateful, racist and divisive. But, lies and distorations? Sounds like somebody has been commiserating with a crack pipe.

It goes without saying that Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit, has done a phenomenal job of shining a light on Jone's past (and present), but where are the lies and distortions?

By the time someone becomes an advisor to the President of the United States, it is safe to guess that they have a lot of public writing under their belt. Jones, like (Ezekeil) Emanuel, Holdren, Sunstein, etc., is no exception. Each of the aforementioned have written opinions that are repugnant and contrary to the values of our country. Yet repeatedly, we are told that (fill in the blank)'s words are being taken 'out of context.' The difference with Jones is that there are no shortage of videos showing his anti-American and racist rants.

I would congradulate Hoft on a job very well done. I would also caution that Jones will be replaced and that he will replaced by an administration who shares the values that Jones espouses.

Robert Gibbs response to the Jones resignation from Gateway Pundit:

The Other McCain:

Obama aide Van Jones resigns as environmental adviser amid controversy over
past statements.

Remember: 5 A's in "raaaaaacism."

Another Black Conservative:

The whole Van Jones saga could not come at a worst time for Obama. As Obama tries to find a way out of the box he is in on health care reform, this is a major distraction. It does not help in terms of credibility either, as parents across the nation are creeped out by his public school address, Van Jones' past feeds into the idea that Obama is a barking moonbat radical too. Look for comparisons between Obama, Reverend Wright and Van Jones to start surfacing again.

Legal Insurrection:

But I have a point to make here. The mainstream media finally is covering this story. Not as news, but as history. The unfortunate and misguided exposure of Van Jones' love affair with 9/11 Truthers and various and sundry pejoratives.

And So it Goes in Shreveport:

And we know how it will play out; he'll be martyred by the left and cries of it being a high tech lynching have already begun from the Daily Kos crowd. The writer who penned that phrase goes on to say:

"This is a high tech lynch mob. Aimed at a Black man. Who dared to get uppity.
But they’re not racists. Just ask them."

Sigh. I have no doubt that by the time the Left is finished spinning this, Jones will walk a way some kind of hero. Afterall, who are you gonna believe, your own lying eyes (and ears) or MSNBC?

Far Right Conservative Nazi Busts Out Windows...What? Never Mind

“Clearly there’s been an effort on the other side to stir up hate. I think this is the consequence of it.”–Colorado Democratic Party Chair Pat Waak, before details emerged about alleged bicycle-riding (eco-friendly!) vandal Maurice Schwenkler.

Well, Patty, we all know that’s not quite true don’t we? While Patty sits and listens to those crickets chirping in her head, let the rest of us review the real story. My, what a strange tale it is. From Peoples Press Collective:

**Update 12–Maurice Schwenkler aka transgender anarchist “Ariel Attack” (h/t Complete Colorado, blogger Dinah Lord is also investigating the Maurice Schwenkler/”Ariel Attack” connection):

The suspect arrested Tuesday morning on charges of smashing 11 windows at the state Democratic Party headquarters is a transgendered “Denver-based anarchist” who goes by the name “Ariel Attack,” according to postings on numerous anarchist and radical gay-rights websites. A fundraising plea circulated by the self-described “radical queer group” Denver Bash Back! seeks donations to raise the $5,000 bail set for 24-year-old Maurice Schwenkler, who is “listed in the jail records and media under her birth name.”
The postings asked “people to NOT call the jail and potentially out Ariel, which would create a very dangerous situation,” noting that “Jail is a dangerous place for everyone, but especially trans people.”

A hearing was set for Wednesday morning for Attack, who faces charges of felony criminal mischief, according to the Denver Anarchist Black Cross.

By early Wednesday afternoon, Attack’s backers had raised the money for her bail, according to a spokesman, for Denver Anarchist Black Cross, but the group will continue taking donations through a PayPal account “for what will probably be a protracted legal battle.”. . .Attack, listed as an “occasional contributor” to the Queers Against Obama blog, recently wrote a post blasting President Barack Obama, saying “the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ has nothing to do with gay rights, but rather is a plan to fill the US military with more queer bodies.”

Several websites are reporting that Schwenkler, aka Attack, was once a paid worker for a Democratic candidate. I checked out the website Queers Against Obama and I wouldn’t be surprised if Schwenkler thought that smashing those windows would result in a twofer: first, I’m sure he rightly assumed that conservatives would be blamed; and second, as an Obama hater (see Queers Against Obama) he enjoyed the hell out of smashing those windows.

Whatever Scwenkler’s motives, it remains that Waak was all too happy, not to mention way too quick, to jump to the a conclusion that would allow her to smear conservatives. In lieu of apologies, I would expect that Waak & Co., will concentrate on Schwenkler/Attack as an angry and disturbed young man/woman. If the meme fits…

Andrew Sullivan Shows His Ass (Again)

Only Andrew Sullivan could look at the events unfolding in Iran and use the subornation of the will of millions of people to take a swipe at Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and yes, Sarah Palin, to score some kind of ass backwards political point.

Is there nothing that Sullivan won’t twist to fit his polluted world view? Does he find it so necessary to make every event a pawn to his self absorbed agenda? Man up, Andy. Using a tragedy in this manner just makes you appear small. Are you emboldened by other equally small purveyors of dishonest Left wing propaganda?

Be proud. Nothing like using the First Amendment to shill for hate.
