Well I guess if you are going to make an ass of yourself there's no reason to go off half-assed

When it comes to Sarah Palin there is nothing the Left loves more than a "gotcha" moment.  But "gotchas" have a way of ricocheting.

Lefty:  Did you hear?  Sarah Palin wrote notes on her palm!

Anybody capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time:  So?

But do they ever learn?  No, no they don't.

Legal Insurrection:

Anti-Palin Faux-troversy of the Day: The Black Bracelet
I thank Yale Graduate School student Eric Robinson for his service to the country in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But Robinson's hit piece on Sarah Palin, Palin’s bigger blunder, leads me to believe Robinson has succumbed to the New Haven funny water, either that, or he is spending too much time with Bruce Ackerman over at the law school.
So, what did Sarah do this time that sent the usual subjects off on their very short trip to Nutsville?  She wore a black bracelet with her son Track's name engraved on it.  What, you're not shocked, disgusted, repulsed?  Did I mention that Track is alive?  Still don't get it?  Well, Eric Robinson thought he had his "gotcha" moment.

Robinson refers to the bracelet as a "memorial" bracelet and claims that Palin has either show her disdain for military families or her ignorance by wearing one with name of her living son on it.  Thing is, according to the manufacturer, HeroBracelet, Palin is wearing a deployed hero bracelet.  Oh, and Vice President Joe Biden has one for his son as well.
After writing that Palin's wearing of the bracelet was "horrifying"  the aptly named Crooks and Liars followed up with this:

UPDATE: Looks like the original writer and I should have fact checked more closely. Per a comment at the original op-ed:
About Ms. Palin's HeroBracelet.

We sent her those bracelets during the last election. When we learned that her son, Track and Senator Biden's son were both being deployed overseas, we sent them both Deployed HeroBracelets with their son's names.

We've been providing Deployed HeroBracelets since 2004 for families to wear while their loved ones were serving. They can be made from sterling, copper, leather or bronze colored anodized aluminum (black is reserved for KIA).[..]

So she isn't out of line for wearing the Deployed HeroBracelet. There are ten's of thousands of families around the country wearing them right now. On the HeroBracelets web site, we've got hundreds of letters from families, many vowing to not take the bracelet off till their loved one comes home.

What? Were you expecting groupies?

Carol at No Sheeples Here thinks that Obama seems bored:

Quote of the Day

"POTUS delivered a vague and cheerful pep talk to the Organizing For America team these last days, and he again used the old campaign rhetoric of how the hard stuff was hard, and that changing Washington was hard, and that it was hard not to give up but it was the right thing to do…and so forth. The cheers were prefab. POTUS appears distracted, and, if he were not POTUS, there would be the suspicion of boredom."

Well yes, life is a bitch when you have to work for a living.  Constituents just aren't as much fun as groupies and there are days when you are surrounded by people who don't want to be buried wearing your tee shirt. You have to deal with people who have no flippin' clue what the hell arugula is and couldn't afford to buy it anyway.  You have to deal with people would rather eat plaster than apply for food stamps but they haven't worked for months and their kids are hungry.  You have to deal with people who don't give two shits whether a bunch of honor killing, genital mutilating terrorists like us-they just want to get on a plane without worrying about some inbred thug blowing up his nasty bits and taking the entire plane out in the process.  You have to deal with people who don't give a rat's ass about Global Warming because (a) they don't believe it exists, (b) they think it is a scam and (c) they don't want to pay more for their electricity just because you and your buddies stand to make a killing off selling carbon credits.  You have to deal with people you are happy with their medical care and aren't going to stand for the government seizing one sixth of our economy for themselves.  You have deal with people who think that you are a self-serving arrogant schmuck.  Don't like it?  Look on the bright side-only three years to go.

"Terrorists - 1, United States of Fear - 0" My A$$

Let me share with you a comment I received on my earlier post "Lefties: What's the Big Deal About Blowing Up a Plane Full of People?":

Anonymous said...
Terrorists won the moment the "war on terror" was declared. The goal of terrorism is not to destroy, it is to undermine a society by TERRORIZING it, and that is EXACTLY what they have done.Terrorists - 1, United States of Fear - 0.
Where to begin?

First, I admire the simplicity of the commenter’s thought processes. “Anonymous” seems to be saying that if we simply ignored terrorists terrorism would not exist. Poof!

But no, we (read: Bush) declared the “war on terror” and in the thinking of Anonymous, we (read: Bush) created terrorism.

Anonymous opines that terrorists aren’t actually trying to kill us, they just want to scare us. Well it seems to me that the 9/11 crew and Maj. Nidal Hasan caused a great deal of destruction but I doubt that the people who stand on Anonymous’ side of the fence spend much time thinking about the lives of Americans lost or their loved ones left behind.

I think the part of the comment that bothers me, aside from its total inanity, is this: “Terrorists - 1, United States of Fear - 0.” Speak for yourself, puppy. I don’t see my fellow citizens crouching in fear. Just the opposite. Most Americans recognize the threat that radical Islam poses and rather than cowering they are resolute and fearless.

Reading between lines of the comment’s silliness is the typical Lefty assertion that America deserves to be a target. Bull hockey. We are the Land of Opportunity and Freedom. To this day scores flock to our shores to be part of the greatness that cannot be found in any other country on Earth. And it is, to paraphrase Tolkien, by the blood of our people that countless lands are kept free.

No, the terrorists have not won and they never will so long as patriotic Americans fearlessly face them down.

Golden Words

This, my friends, is eloquence:

Speak for yourself, pussy. But how emblematic of liberal weakness and the odd, seemingly contradictory arrogance that is its ugly, constant companion: this worm is so gutless he even loathes himself for his boundless self-loathing, and he can’t imagine that other intelligent people might not be as inclined to wallow in the shallow cesspool of impotent futility as he is. It’s every bit as pathetic as it is contemptible. And it’s remarkable that so many people are drawn to such a weepy, adolescent world view, seeing as how the only thing it really has to offer is misery and despair — ie, limits.

I read the paragraph, paused, thought, and then read it again. The writer could be talking about anyone, or everyone, on the Left. True Progressives are a (thankfully) small minority in this country. A movement simply can’t “catch on” when it is comprised of individuals completely devoid of basic survival skills.

The unyielding belief in self preservation is unheard of and unthinkable among our Progressive brethren. The first tenant of unworthiness espoused by the Left is that no man is greater (though often lesser) than the lowest creature. Human exceptionalism is mocked by those who take to the streets to save a snail but scoff at the mere idea of saving an unborn child. The utter backwardness of the Progressive movement is breathtaking.

I think too highly of myself to ever be accepted by the Left. I’m proud of that.

Read the entire glorious post.

Conservatives' Dissent Will Not Be Stifled

Via Memeorandum:

Writing in Real Clear Politics, Michael Barrone writes in Strangers to Dissent, Liberals Try to Stifle It:

It is an interesting phenomenon that the response of the left half of our
political spectrum to criticism and argument is often to try to shut it down.
Thus President Obama in his Sept. 9 speech to a joint session of Congress told
us to stop "bickering," as if principled objections to major changes in public
policy were just childish obstinacy, and chastised his critics for telling
"lies," employing "scare tactics" and playing "games." Unlike his predecessor,
he sought to use the prestige of his office to shut criticism down.

Well, yes there’s been a lot of stifling going on. Wasn’t that the goal of Media Matter’s Eric Boehlert’s re-write of the Kennedy assassination or Nancy Crocodile Tears Pelosi’s sniff, sniff, references to violence in San Francisco? Every time Jimmie Carter, et al, throw out “racist” or some insufferable twink like Janeane Garofalo says “tea bagger”, the intent is to stifle debate.

For too long Conservatives have sat largely on the sidelines as Liberals pushed their agenda unchallenged. Finally, Conservatives have woke to the idea that while the meek may inherit the Earth that won’t do them a bit of good as their country descends in to Hell.

Conservatives will not “tone down” so it is left to the Liberals as to whether they want to engage in honest discourse or not. Currently, it appears not.

Who You Gonna Believe, Your Own Two Eyes Or ABC's Lying Lips?

Memeorandum is all afire with the "numbers" stories from yesterday's March on Washington. A few of the headlines are Size Matters, So Do Lies, ABC News Was Misquoted on Crowd Size and the obligatory left wing slap at Michelle Malkin, UPDATED: Malkin's 2 million protester claim; its like the blind leading the blind (a prime example of why main stream media no longer matters).

It seems like everyone the Left has come down with a severe case of tunnel vision to go along with their long standing bout of rabies complicated extreme rigour mortise. Anyone with a brain, which I realize immediately rules out the MSM and the rest of their Leftists me-too doper friends in the blogosphere, can clearly see the size of the crowds:

By denying the obvious they only show themselves to be delusional half-wits.

In addition to the photos at Michelle's, The Daley Gator has an impressive roundup as well. All I know is the word "SHEESH" was invented strictly for the morons on the Left.

Joe Wilson Simply Said What We All Were Thinking

I can't count how during Obama's speech last night I looked at my television and shouted, "liar!" When Rep. Joe Wilson said his now infamous, "You lie!" I gave him a rousing, cheering, standing ovation. The look on Nancy Pelosi's face was the icing on the cake.

Democrats are aghast! Apparently the election of Barack Obama was such a momentous event that all knowledge of any event prior to January 20, 2009 was excised from the brains of the party faithful who are claiming with straight faces that no other president has been ill-treated during a speech before Congress. Wrong, so wrong. But what can you expect from a party who claims that no other president has been subjected to Hitler/swastika symbolism prior to The One? So, are Democrats suffering from extreme memory loss or has the Democratic Party become the party of liars? Both.

Michelle Malkin has it right when she calls the Democrat's reaction to Wilson "manufactured outrage." The outrage was manufactured out of thin air and Wilson's charge was absolutely correct.

The president's speech was one huge smear of Conservatives laced with half truths and outright lies. Every Conservative should call him out on it.

More Hypocrisy By Michael Moore-Updated

Tripping around the web this morning I came across an interesting post a Babalu:

Who is keeping the profits from his films?

"Capitalism is an evil, and you cannot regulate evil," the two-hour movie
concludes.

"You have to eliminate it and replace it with something
that is good for all people and that something is democracy."

It's so easy to preach socialism/liberalism/progressivism/stupidism/moronism when you are rich. It's so easy to bash the system that provides your own wherewithal, all for the sake of appearing saintly and compassionate.

Folks, these are truly evil bastards we are fighting against...

Moore’s movie, Capitalism: A Love Story is premiering at The Venice Film Festival. From there it will move on to The Toronto Film Festival and then on to openings in New York and Los Angeles. I won’t be attending either of the film festivals or the openings, will you? No.

The attendees will “the beautiful” people. The people who capitalism has been very, very good to. How good has capitalism been to Moore? His net worth is estimated at more the 50 million evil US dollars.

Well, it should be fun. People Magazine will show the actresses in their finery as they wax away on what a powerful movie that Moore has given us, all the time completely unaware that the dress they are wearing (and wouldn’t be caught dead wearing again) cost more than the average family spends in a month or two on all of their expenses combined.

I won’t be seeing Moore’s movie at a festival, opening or otherwise. It strikes me as a movie for hypocritical, unserious, unaware people who apply different standards to “the little people.” They don’t need my money.

Update:

Smitty calls Moore a corpulent capitalist. True enough, but I prefer "lard ass."

Van Jones: "Lies and Smears"

We knew that it was coming and here it is in part:

I am resigning my post at the Council on Environmental Quality, effective today.

On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide...

I didn't expect a sudden change of heart on Jone's part. I didn't think he would resign because he realized that his past statements and actions were hateful, racist and divisive. But, lies and distorations? Sounds like somebody has been commiserating with a crack pipe.

It goes without saying that Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit, has done a phenomenal job of shining a light on Jone's past (and present), but where are the lies and distortions?

By the time someone becomes an advisor to the President of the United States, it is safe to guess that they have a lot of public writing under their belt. Jones, like (Ezekeil) Emanuel, Holdren, Sunstein, etc., is no exception. Each of the aforementioned have written opinions that are repugnant and contrary to the values of our country. Yet repeatedly, we are told that (fill in the blank)'s words are being taken 'out of context.' The difference with Jones is that there are no shortage of videos showing his anti-American and racist rants.

I would congradulate Hoft on a job very well done. I would also caution that Jones will be replaced and that he will replaced by an administration who shares the values that Jones espouses.

Robert Gibbs response to the Jones resignation from Gateway Pundit:

Reaction can be found at:

Memeorandum

The Other McCain:

Obama aide Van Jones resigns as environmental adviser amid controversy over
past statements.

Remember: 5 A's in "raaaaaacism."

Another Black Conservative:

The whole Van Jones saga could not come at a worst time for Obama. As Obama tries to find a way out of the box he is in on health care reform, this is a major distraction. It does not help in terms of credibility either, as parents across the nation are creeped out by his public school address, Van Jones' past feeds into the idea that Obama is a barking moonbat radical too. Look for comparisons between Obama, Reverend Wright and Van Jones to start surfacing again.

Legal Insurrection:

But I have a point to make here. The mainstream media finally is covering this story. Not as news, but as history. The unfortunate and misguided exposure of Van Jones' love affair with 9/11 Truthers and various and sundry pejoratives.

And So it Goes in Shreveport:

And we know how it will play out; he'll be martyred by the left and cries of it being a high tech lynching have already begun from the Daily Kos crowd. The writer who penned that phrase goes on to say:

"This is a high tech lynch mob. Aimed at a Black man. Who dared to get uppity.
But they’re not racists. Just ask them."

Sigh. I have no doubt that by the time the Left is finished spinning this, Jones will walk a way some kind of hero. Afterall, who are you gonna believe, your own lying eyes (and ears) or MSNBC?

A Teachable Moment

Pat, a teacher, writes at And So it Goes in Shreveport that she is passing on the Obama speech on Tuesday and instead, will be using the class time to teach. That is an incredible concept and think for a moment how our public schools would improve if all our teachers were to follow Pat's lead.

For the record, most teacher in my experience have been like Pat. Many teachers dip in to their own pockets to provide supplies for their classrooms. They dedicate their "off time" to develop lesson plans that will keep their students engaged in the learning process. Sadly, these days we all know a teacher who uses their class time to preach their pet issues rather than sticking to their subject matter.

The Left is stunned that any parent would object to the President would give a short speech extolling the virtues of staying in school and working hard. In all the posts claiming shock that racist wingnuts are children of this wonderful "teachable moment", none so much refer in passing to the materials that will accompany the President's speech:

"What do you think the President wants us to do?"
"Does the speech make you want to do anything?"
"Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us?"

You don't have to be a "racist wingnut" to recognize that those questions can easily be used in a way that amounts to indoctrination. If a teacher must use class time for a "civics" lesson, let is be that our elected officials serve us and not the other way around.

Send Obama's Czars Back To Russia

Smitty brings us news of HR 3226-Czar Accountability and Reform (CZAR) Act of 2009 just in the nick of time:

To provide that appropriated funds may not be used to pay for any salaries or expenses of any task force, council, or similar office which is established by or at the direction of the President and headed by an individual who has been inappropriately appointed to such position (on other than an interim basis), without the advice and consent of the Senate.

Because you know that, if the Community Organizer in Chief was still the Junior Senator from DaleyreichIllinois, he would want it that way.

To say that several of Obama’s “Czars” are at best questionable is to bestow a level of kindness on the president that appears wholly undeserved. Can anyone, with a straight face, say that Harold Coe (pro-sharia law), John Holdren (compulsory abortion) or Cass Sunstein (animals have the right to sue) would have been approved by Congress. Well yes, we are talking about the current Congress, so anything is possible but what about Van Jones?

Jones, a self avowed communist, is also a Truther. All together now, 1...2...3...NICE! From Gateway Pundit:

Well, lookie-lookie...Here at #47 on the list is none other than Barack Obama's communist Green Czar Van Jones:Another Obama associate turns out to be a far left kook-- We're all shocked.

So, we have a guy who works for the current administration who believes that the previous administration murdered 3,000 US citizens. Deep cleansing breaths.

If you believe that Obama never heard Rev. Wright’s racist remarks, was unaware that Ayers is unrepentant terrorist and was uninformed about the bizarre and radical positions held by his own appointees, then I have a sweet little piece of water front property I’ll sell you relatively cheap.

This is a president who has backed thugs in Iran and Honduras while spitting on democracy. He is trying to indoctrinate or schoolchildren. People, we got trouble right here in River City.

Common Cents: Like Sunlight to a Vampire

You know, there is nothing a smarty pants hates more than common sense. As you’ll see in the video below found at Michelle Malkin, a typical conversation between SP (smarty pants) and PACS (person applying common sense) goes roughly like this:

SP : The deeper in debt we are, the wealthier we are.
PACS : But if we are deeper in debt won’t a greater portion of our budget go to paying interest?
SP : No.
PACS : No? But..
SP : Do you have a PhD in Economics?
PACS : No.
SP : Then STFU or I’ll throw you out a window.

Obviously I paraphrased, but you get the gist. SP, in this case a very potty mouthed Rep. Pete Stark objects to being asked common sense questions by Jan Helfeld. Stark believes that his illogical premise should be accepted at face value because he says so. Rather, than answering the question, Stark attacks the questioner. This is a favorite tactic of the Left.

And Now For Something Totally Different

Shhhh. Doug Ross has the inside scoop on Pres. Obama's 9/8 speech to children. Hint:

Get the entire speech here.

Breaking News! Go Florida GOP!

Via Memeorandum:

From TPM: Florida GOP: Keep Obama Out of Our Schools!

I just spoke with Florida Republican Party press secretary Katie Gordon, regarding state party chairman Jim Greer's denunciation of President Obama's upcoming national address to schoolchildren on Tuesday. Gordon stood by the party's press release -- and said that children should not be subjected to what she said is a clear attempt at political indoctrination by the Obama administration. Indeed, she said parents should be able to opt-out their kids from the speech.

...In follow-up e-mails, I asked Gordon how she would reply to people who see this as a tin-foil hat, conspiracy theorist sort of thing. "I would ask them what their response would have been if these same materials had come from the Bush Administration," Gordon said. "The people saying this is a scare tactic are the same people who accuse the voters at health care town halls of being rabid right-wing extremists. This is an abuse of power and an attempt by the Obama Administration to indoctrinate young Americans into supporting his socialist agenda. Parents should be extremely concerned."

I also asked Gordon about an Internet campaign that has risen up, encouraging students to skip school on Tuesday. Does she support students skipping school, or walking out of the address or the activities? Gordon replied: "That decision is up to the parents, not the RPOF."

My grandkids, unfortunately, aren't in Florida but if they were I would absolutely encourage my daughter to keep them home on September 8th. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, the indoctrination of children should be absolutely off limits.

Send a message. Tell the Left, "stay away from our children." Keep them home.

Remember "Hitler's Youth"? Coming To A Public School Near You...Updated

Remember that ookey video that came out right after Obama was elected, I Pledge? If you've forgotten, it is the one where a bunch of Hollywood sycophants pledged fealty to Lord Obama. It can be useful to show to children if you follow it up with the warning, "this is what happens to people who use drugs."

According to Michelle Malkin, a school principal in Utah decided to show the video at a school assembly because, well foisting political propaganda to young impressionable children is all the Leftist rage these days.

On September 8th, our Supreme Leader will be coming to a classroom near you, or as Jimmie at The Sundries Shack puts it, “Ask not what the country can do for you, rather write down what you can do for the President in a letter and give it to your teacher so that a few months from now she can give it back to you and hold you accountable for not giving the President your all.”

My daughter recently told me that she appreciates that my grandkids wear uniforms at their charter school. I have no doubt that soon all children at public schools will be wearing uniforms as well. Won't they look nice in those cute little brown shirts?

More at Memeorandum

From American Power:

Anyway, this isn't some fringe group trying to ram this crap down people's throats (I that freak Repsac3 would say). This is more hard-left ideological programming straight from the mainstream Democratic Party establishment - and it is not okay.

From Babalu:

As you watch this video with the usual gang of leftist wanker millionaires from Hollywood, you will see some things being said that one would have no issues with. Then they start adding stuff in there about stem cell research, about going green and buying a hybrid, about not using plastic and about only flushing the toilet when you take a crap. And then at the end, you see the pitch of pledging allegiance to Obama. Scary crap folks. We here take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States; not to any person. We are not subjects to any mortal man. The President works for us; we don't work for him. Watch the video below... and join me in shaking your head in utter disgust. If they had kept the controversial and political things out of this, it might have been a good idea and video to promote community service. But they are asking more here. It's over the line especially to show to elementary school kids.

From Riehl World View:

Are you troubled by this? Don't be. He's simply going to appeal to those bright young prospects of our public schools to mail a part of their stash to Barry at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Word is, the Secret Service has been giving him fits trying to sneak in some good herb.

And if the kid doesn't use? No worries, just steal some of your parent's stash and send it on in. You don't even have to give them up in Obama's new world!! It's cool, cuz O's the man! The only upside is that I suspect most of the kids will just ignore him.

My take? It’s no longer what they can do “for the children”, it’s what the can do “to the children.”

The Co-opting of 9/11 Continues

American Power brings us news of an award winning ad:

When I see a picture of planes flying towards the Twin Towers I think of 9/11 and the nearly 3000 lives taken by terrorists on that awful day. Silly me. As any good Leftist will tell you, those lives mean squat. The picture above is part of an ad from the World Wildlife Fund:

The ad's sales pitch reads:

"The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve it."

Ed Morrissey responds:

Wow! Sounds like the Earth is the real terrorist ....Whoever thought of trivializing and commercializing the murders of 3,000 people for an ad campaign about conservation needs to search deep within themselves to determine whether their soul exists.

I suppose the WWF is to be congratulated for not referring to the victims of 9/11 as "little Eichmann's" but their intention is clear and completely revolting. Fortunately, the Left doesn't (yet) own this country and the victims of 9/11 will be honored. If by honoring our fallen we somehow cause the Left discomfort, then it will be a bonus.

Too Small To Count?

Via Don Surber:

What is the latest out of Leftie ObamaLand: Your state is too small to matter.

Pollack, June 23: “Then again, the seven states they represent are incredibly unrepresentative of American society. These have a combined population of less than 11.2 million, markedly less than greater Los Angeles. They include no major metropolitan areas. Their total population is less than 2 percent African-American, almost one-seventh the proportion in the U.S. population as a whole.”

Matthew Yglesias, July 28: “We’re talking, after all, about Max Baucus of Montana, Kent Conrad of North Dakota, Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico, Susan Collins of Maine, Mike Enzi of Wyoming, and Chuck Grassley of Iowa. Collectively those six states contain about 2.74 percent of the population, less than New Jersey, or about one fifth the population of California. The six largest states, by contrast, contain about 40 percent of Americans.”

Kos diarist, July 28: “But this health care reform-killing cabal of six Senators from small states is even more undemocratic than that — again, they represent a 2.7 percent micro-minority of the country.”

Collins, today: “The senators on this special committee hail from Montana, North Dakota, New Mexico, Iowa, Maine and Wyoming. This was quite a coup on Baucus’s part, since you have to work really hard to put together six states that represent only 2.77 percent of the population.”

Since when do only people who live in California or New York rate a say in the policies of this country. News flash: WE pay taxes, OUR loved ones protect this country, WE VOTE! I apologize for being crude but the only rational answer to elitist snobs who think that they alone have the right to express an opinion is, SCREW YOU! If the elitist had their way we would be CUBA.

Together we represent the back bone of this country. We will not back down and we will not shut up. The elitists are a threat to our very freedom. They need to go back to their poetry readings and sipping their lattes and leave the hard work of carrying this country forward to those of us who are up to the task.

When "Voting Blocks" Leave The Liberal Plantation

Gator Doug gets it:

In truth, the Left does not want to defend women, or Blacks, or Gays, they want to relegate these groups to eternal victim status. By preaching to these groups that they are the victims of horrible discrimination, they seek to embitter them, and to make them believe their only hope lies in blindly supporting Leftist candidates, and ideology.

It is a scam, perpetuated far too often, and sadly far too successfully by the Democratic Party. Their goal is to create voting blocs that they can count on to turn out on election day and cast votes for the Democratic candidate. In short, they are working to create robotic voters that vote on a perception that their interests, which of course are completely dependent upon their gender or race, are best served by Democrats.

Liberals have never given a rat’s ass about women, blacks, gays, Jews, Hispanics or any other “class” of people. Their only interest is in keeping these groups down and dependent on the scraps that Libs throw them in exchange for votes. If any of their chattel dare stray away from the Liberal Plantation charge full speed to destroy the uppity ingrate (See: Thomas, Clarence; Palin, Sarah).

Read Doug’s post. He really does get it.

Exclusive! Sarah And Todd Palin Are NOT Splitsville! Updated

Via Memeorandum

Sigh. Here’s the headlines:

Sarah Palin Is Quitting AGAIN-Now Its Her Marriage!?

Quiterella Strikes Again

Exclusive! Sarah and Todd Palin are Splitsville!

Well, so much for not making things up. Aside from the appalling glee being expressed in the Lefty blogs as they spread the false rumor of the Palin’s divorce, this is nothing more than a typical liberal crap fling. They keep hoping if they throw enough crap sooner or later some of it sticks.

Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent “story” (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last weekit was reported to be Long Island).Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to “quit making things up.” We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it.

Meg Stapleton

Rather than admit that they really don’t have much to say about Sarah Palin, the Left resorts to spreading lies. You have to wonder about these people’s parentage since it seems that they were born lacking honesty, intelligence and shame genes. Deficient breeding not withstanding, these people are excruciatingly dull.

Come on Lefties, put all that oxygen sucking towards something productive.

UPDATE: Stacy has the quote:

"Divorce Todd? Have you seen Todd? I may be just a renegade hockey mom, but I'm not blind!"-- SARAH PALIN

I have seen Todd and He. Is. HOT!

Obama's Fiends, Er, I Mean Friends

Having flatly stated that he doesn’t believe in meddling in the affairs of other countries, Obama has pulled a 180 when it comes to the affairs of Honduras. Professor Jacobson:

While Obama improves relations with Venezuela, Obama has cut military ties to Honduras, is considering a cut-off of all aid, is doing nothing to stop loan suspensions by international organizations over which the U.S. has substantial influence, and is supporting international efforts to isolate Honduras.

Poor and tiny Honduras faces the full wrath of the United States, United Nations, and much of the rest of the world, while nothing is done about Iran. On Iran, Obama and the world acted with the utmost deference, and there were no efforts by the Obama administration at international action. None.

The Administration has justified its actions by keeping the word “coup” in play. Edward Luttwak says: “A coup consists of the infiltration of a small, but critical, segment of the state apparatus, which is then used to displace the government from its control of the remainder”. By this definition the events in Honduras certainly were not a coup. But Obama is interested in the definition, he uses the word for its emotional impact and the imagery conjured by it.

For those who prefer facts to emotional trickery Fausta's should be the first stop.
