the hardest part of being a liar is keeping all your stories straight.  Mom always said it was better to tell the truth, even when the truth might not be in your best self interest, because if you lie sooner or later you will get caught and then you'll not only be a liar, you'll be a fool.  Obama could have used my Momma advice but he was raised with a different set of values than I was and now he's been caught in a whopper:



Gateway Pundit has all the details.  Suffice to say, Obama was lying when he tried to downplay his relationship with ACORN. 

In my opinion ACORN is a criminal organization that is manned by Marxist thugs whose sole purpose is to promote Marxist ideals.  Our president and the creeps at ACORN are "thick as thieves".  Obama shares their principals and their ideals.  Now, Obama is smart enough to know that publicly throwing his lot in with the thugs at ACORN isn't a good idea but as the video shows, he's just not smart enough to keep his lies straight.

Per Memeorandum, Bob Dole has joined the Socialist League and is encouraging his fellow former Republicans in Practice to become Republicans in Name Only. They say that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Bullshit. This country, thanks to Dole, McConnell, Snowe, blah, blah, blah who will sell out our principals for what, eight pieces of silver(?) will suffer long after these bastards have collected their lobbyist $s and built their namesake libraries. Rep. Diane Watson Doesn't Know Cuba

What's wrong with Marxism? And what's wrong with a member of the U.S. Congress praising Fidel Castro? To begin with, as I said, it is a repudiation of the American founding. Our nation was not established by theoretical philosophes, and it did not grow strong and flourish by heeding the flattering "words of temptation."

McCain is referring to Rep. Diane Watson’s praise of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Well, we’ve heard the praise before but it never ceases to stun. Those who cast Cuba as an island paradise are ignore some rather pertinent facts:

In 2006, the per capita income in Cuba was $4,100. That same year, Fidel Castro’s personal wealth was estimated at $550 million. Why the disparity? Because the people work for Fidel, not themselves. But Watson doesn’t address that does she? She’s in good company. Hollywood elites swarm to Cuba and return home to laud Castro:

"Socialism works. I think Cuba might prove that" (Chevy Chase).
"Castro is very selfless and moral, one of the world's wisest men" (Oliver Stone).
"If you believe in freedom, if you believe in justice, if you believe in democracy,
you have no choice but to support Fidel Castro!" (Harry Belafonte).
"It was an experience of a lifetime to sit only a few feet away from him (Castro)"
Kevin Costner.
"The eight most important hours of my life," Stephen Spielberg describing his dinner with Castro.
"Castro is a humanist like President Clinton. Cuba is simply a paradise!" Jack Nicholson

Yes, it is a paradise for the willfully blind tourists who bring hard American currency beachfront resorts. For the Cuban people, life is virtual slavery marked by rationing, shortages of even the most basic goods and crushing oppression. How do the Cuban people cope? Many of them attempt escape by whatever means, including navigating 91 miles of ocean on nothing more than old tires that have tied together.

Stacy McCain:

Socialism is the antithesis of philanthropy, even though the advocates of socialism repeatedly proclaim their philanthropic motives, so that like the Pharisees, priests and scribes of ancient Jerusalem, they may be praised as virtuous humanitarians because of the good intentions with which they pave the road to Hell.

Socialism has failed the people of Cuba, yet Watson would bring that failure to us. I’m not as generous as Stacy, I won’t credit Watson with good intentions.

Obama Is Bringing Socialism To America And It's Not A Joke

I always read the comments on posts. Sometimes I enjoy the comments better than the post itself. Here is a comment by Nobody Important commenting on the Obama Joker poster:

What a great guy! Intelligent, funny, good looking, great jump shot, completely ignorant of the way the word works, being led around by the nose by other extremely well meaning and otherwise intelligent ignoramuses. Even Karl Marx was trying to make the world a better place. Lenin, Stalin and Mao all thought that equality of outcome, helping the little guy (worker/masses) was important enough of a goal to kill for. Today's bourgeoisie live on the Upper East Side, San Francisco and in Hollywood. They are creating their own utopia with themselves as the oligarch. They don't want other people's morality to be forced on them because it would get in the way of forcing their moral relativism on others. Let's see: kill a baby-but save a whale, euthanize the old-but save the rain forest. Anything goes in the cause of creating a perfect society - unless you are one of those crazy Christians. If you believe in God you are a freak, if you believe in profit from hard work you an enslaver. Sigh. Why don't they learn from history? This has all been done before. The commenter makes several valid points. I would like to give my opinion on why “they” don’t learn from history. Liberalism is not about learning, it is about feeling. Liberals feel that everyone should have health care. Liberals feel that there should be income equality (not so much that George Clooney would give up the income that affords him that mansion on Lake Como in favor of living a trailer park). The problem is, Liberals want someone else to fund their feelings. For all their talk of sacrifice, they are not willing to sacrifice themselves. Cap and Trade; they are for it. Giving up their jets, giving up their mansions, not so much. They want to be able to indulge their feelings without responsibility. If they knew history, the would know that in every ‘worker’s paradise’ the paradise was not enjoyed by the worker, but by the few, like them. That knowledge wouldn't feel good.
