The Tampa Tea Party celebrates its one year anniversary

Hello Instapundit readers!  While you're here please read my essay Moral imperatives and freedom and let me know what you think.

About sixty members of the Tampa Tea Party celebrated its in year anniversary with a gathering to voice their opposition to plan by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioner's plan to increase the sales tax to fund the light rail Obama touted at during his visit to Tampa in January.

Next up is a fundraiser for Eddie Adams, Jr., who is running against Kathy Castor for Congress in Florida's 11th  District.

Plans are also in the works for this year's Tax Day Protest to be held at the USF Sun Dome on April 15th.  Last year's protest was attended by over three thousand tax payers.  This year we hope to have at least three times that many.

I'll put up the details of both events as they become available.  An events calendar can also be found at the Tampa Tea Party.

April 15 too late! US turns socialist on March 18 when the House approves the health care senate bill.
