If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn`t buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.
If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.
So remind me, why are liberals considered "open-minded"?

Actually, a liberal will want everyone else to be equally miserable and will raise taxes to cause it to happen - all in the name of "fairness."

That's right. I'm a liberal.
Similarly, if you don't want a gay marriage, don't have one. If you don't want an abortion, don't have one.
Liberals have committed themselves to equal employment opportunity, to making sure everyone can have access to an education, and are now fighting to make sure everyone can have access to health care. All of these things (and more!) are about giving individuals the opportunity to lift themselves up.
Anyway, I was wondering if you might want to choose a topic we can debate on our blogs. Any subject you choose. I'll write the liberal argument, and you write the conservative. Perhaps we can learn something from each other.

Liberals make sure that everyone has access to poor education and they fight tooth and nail against conservatives efforts to provide a quality educational experience to children who could never afford a private school education via a voucher system. Liberals throw more and more money at the failing public education system while test scores go down, graduation rates go down and this country's greatest asset, our children, go down the drain.
Send me an email and let me know what subject you would like to debate and what the guidlines are. You can choose gay marriage but we would agree too much for a good debate.
