The Beslan school hostage crisis (also referred to as the Beslan school siege or Beslan massacre) began when a group of armed terrorists, demanding an end to the Second Chechen War, took more than 1,100 people (including some 777 children) hostage on September 1, 2004, at School Number One (SNO) in the town of Beslan, North Ossetia-Alania, an autonomous republic in the North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation. On the third day of the standoff, Russian security forces stormed the building using tanks, thermobaric rockets and other heavy weapons. A series of explosions shook the school, followed by a fire which engulfed the building and a chaotic gunbattle between the hostage-takers and Russian security forces. Ultimately, at least 334 hostages were killed, including 186 children. Hundreds more were wounded or reported missing.
Whats got me so fired up? Phillip's comments from this post at The Other McCain. Read his comments and wrap you head around the fact that given the choice between another Breslin School massacre or a 9-11 or waterboarding a terrorist Phillips thinks it is more civil and Christian to let the planes fly and the kids die.
Well Phillip, if you believe it makes me unChristian to support torture, so flipping be it. I believe my government's job isn't to pay my mortgage or put gas in my tank. I believe it is their duty to defend me. By whatever means.

It is Christian to torture because that's what Jesus died for. Jesus was tortured as he died and that right there tells you it is something he wanted us to understand and sometimes use.
I'm not sure I understand your point. I don't believe that torture is Christian or unChristian. My point is that if a terrorist can be prevented from harming an innocent person then we have a duty to employ whatever means necessary.
