From Satan's lips straight to Pat Robertson's ear and back out again

Robertson: Haiti 'cursed' since Satanic pact:

"Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it," he said. "They were under the heel of the French ... and they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, 'We will serve you if you'll get us free from the French.'

"True story. And the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal,'" Robertson said. "Ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after another."

As a Christian I cringe when I hear crap like that.  Pat Robertson is neck and neck with Fred Phelps in the race to see who can show Christianity in the worst light.  There has always been mouthy jerks who have said the damnedest things in the name of religion.  I don't like it but I've come to expect it.  And there will always people who will lump all Christians in the same pot of soup based on the likes of a Pat Robertson.  Robertson is simply an attention whore who preens for the applause of the lowest common denominator.  As Little Miss Attila said, How about a nice cup of shut the fuck up, Rev. Robertson?
