The CIA and CYA

“I think there is so much embarrassment in some quarters [of the CIA] that people are going to try to shift some of the responsibility to others — that’s what I think,” said Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), who sat on the Senate Intelligence Committee and was briefed on interrogation techniques five times between 2006 and 2007.

Lets face it, since the days Jimmy Killer Rabbit Carter the CIA has been treated in less than honorable fashion. Actually, they've been treated like crap. So maybe their not in the mood to be smacked down again.

As far as I am concerned the CIA has no reason to "shift responsibility". Personally, I am sick and tired of people who bust their backside for me and my country being asked to justify their actions.

If you are honest, you would prefer pouring water down a terrorist's throat to having your family being incinerated. Given the choice, do you care if it is torture? Does protecting your family, your community, your country, make you a lessor human being? No. You have right to stand up for what you believe.

The wheels on the bus may go thump, thump, thump, but never hesitate to roll somebody who stands between you and freedom.

We hold these truths to be self-evident...
