Reid Confuses "Compromise" and "Corruption"

From Politico:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) offered a vigorous defense Monday of the deals in the Senate reform bill that benefit individual states, saying “it doesn’t speak well” of senators who didn’t secure such deals.

..."That’s what legislations all about,” Reid said of the compromises. “It’s the art of compromise. In this great country of ours, Nevada has many different problems than does New Hampshire. Michigan has many different problems than does Georgia.”
Now, Sen. Nelson held out on the pretext that he was pro-life. Had that been the case, and had Reid added true pro-life language to the bill and because of that language Reid secured Nelson's vote, that would have been a compromise. But that isn't what happened. Nelson sold his vote, Reid bought it. That is corruption.

I understand why a smarmy son of a bitch like Reid would be confused. Knowing the difference between compromise and corruption requires knowing the difference between right and wrong. He's not alone in his deficiency. For too long our Capitol has been manned by amoral corruptocrats who've used the power that we gave them to entrench and expand that power while lining their pockets with taxpayer money. The best, and worst, that can be said of Reid is that he is typical.
